Our Tree...What a process!

Well, the tree fit...barely! Last year, we were given a wonderful train set from Dave's parents to put under our tree! Dave came up with another brilliant idea of screwing it down on some plywood so the boys wouldn't ruin the track or train! A quick kiss before 'untying' the tree!

Daddy and Noah making sure the train is operating correctly. Noah was SO incredibly excited about this train!

All systems were a go! Now onto the lights! Noah was Daddy's "Big Helper" with the strands of lights!
Thank Goodness that Dave likes to put the lights on the tree, because I do NOT like this part of decorating the tree! As you can see, my husband gets more and more clever each year. This year: knee pads! Getting the lights on the tree was the last accomplishment of the day! So as we have learned, it is very difficult to arrange the furniture, go get the tree, set up the tree and train, get the lights on the tree AND decorate all in one day. Oh, and be parents to two active boys!! So we have made it a two day process, with the decorating being on day two! Here, Noah and I are putting the decorations on the tree. Ty and Daddy are keeping busy somewhere....This is Dave's least favorite part! All the colored balls are congregated in one area. Noah was very proud of his efforts, and so were we!

As if this picture doesn't say it all! Whew....now it is time to sit back and relax and enjoy!
Our Tree!

Ty sat and watched the train for nearly 10 minutes before trying to catch it. His face would light up each time the train would come around and when it was close to him, he would squeal with excitement. Oh, the sounds of Christmas!

I am jealous, we haven't decorated at all. We are leaving to visit my family in Germany so it was kind of pointless we decided. :( I miss the Christmas smell!
